I am a retired Firefighter, Fire Inspector and Fire Chief. We bought this bedspread and doubted its quality but thought we'd give it a try. We washed it as recommended and put it in the dryer. (dryer 6 months). After about 20 minutes in the dryer, we smelled burnt. I opened the dryer door and couldn't believe the heat was building up in the drum. It was so hot that the metal shrank and crackled when it finally began to cool. We removed the covers and I opened the lint filter. It was COMPLETELY filled with 1/2"+ thick white fluff and cotton balls. There was absolutely no airflow, hence heat build-up. I'm surprised it didn't catch fire I guess. - ALWAYS concerns about your home's fire safety with this one Product should be withdrawn from the market.
