I definitely recommend this 1/4 " torque wrench

I can definitely recommend this 1/4" torque wrench. I bought it to tighten the A-pillar strut nuts to the specified torque. I took it out of its case, pulled the thumbwheel and turned the knob to the minimum level and then to the specified torque setting. I started turning the nut at a slower speed with this torque wrench as I neared the specified torque range. Finally, I felt a sudden and sharp movement of the neck of this torque wrench with a subtle "click". I had the feeling that it reached the specified torque. Then I started tightening the other nut in the same way to hear a subtle click and a noticeable sharp and sharp movement of the key neck. I screwed on 4 nuts and unscrewed them with ANOTHER simple (no torque adjustment) 1/4 wrench. Before screwing them back in, I screwed them in with NO TORQUE ADJUSTABLE until I felt a slight resistance. I then recalibrated this torque wrench by setting it to the lowest torque setting and setting it to a specific torque value. Then I tightened all 4 nuts again with a noticeable "click". 1) All torque wrench manufacturers recommend bringing it up to its minimum torque during storage and before use. feel more resistance when screwing. 3) A slow and gentle movement would be necessary to realize sudden neck movements and/or sliding noises. (I felt the clicking sound wasn't that loud.) 4) The knurled knob rotates smoothly, it's easy to lock at a certain torque. I appreciate the quality of this torque wrench. 5) To loosen a bolt or nut you need another NON-ADJUSTABLE WRENCH. It is said that loosening the screw with this torque wrench can destroy the internal mechanics and lead to inaccuracies. 6) I still hope that the price will be reduced for more mass use.

Pros
  • I'm already looking forward to
Cons
  • The list goes on.
