Review on AOC E2251SWDN 21 5 Inch Widescreen Monitor 21.5", Wide Screen by Jon Raymond

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Decent at ninety-nine dollars

Let's face it - for less than a hundred, this product is fine. More money than that, it's too expensive. This is a beautiful slim 21.5 inch monitor. If you use IPS like I do, this is a terrible monitor with terrible color reproduction, washed out colors and terrible viewing angles. Price? I bought it for ninety nine dollars. At that price it was disposable enough for me to buy one to do a dual monitor setup. It sucks compared to my other Dell ST2220T IPS, but it cost me next to nothing (Dell was more than three times the price). This AOC just went up about thirty bucks, so I'll wait until it's ninety-nine again and then maybe buy another one to cheaply make my desktop a three-monitor setup. although my goal is to buy three identical decent IPS monitors for better color cohesion in the displays (and much better rendering than that cheap AOC TN panel). Now setup with two monitors. It is great? If you buy it for less than a hundred dollars, it's a decent price. Well, it's not worth it (at least if, like me, you're spoiled for IPS).

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Bad power management features.
