We tried them on a fridge with french doors on top and a pull out freezer compartment on the bottom. As you will see below, this is 100% wrong use case for these locks. Pros: * As far as child safety goes (if magnetic clasps don't fit), it looks good. *If you use it on a side mount (where you pull the two pieces apart) it will stay closed. Cons: * It took my 2 year old a day to figure out if he could pick the lock from the side. This renders any child safety locks useless (like the bottom freezer drawer)* The slide out clutch is practically useless. If you put this on a French door fridge for example, you'll keep just taking it off when you forget it's locked.
