This well-made cat seat is a metal seat frame, not a cheap plastic tube that can break. Wide straps ensure a secure hold. I bought a few different brands of seats to see how they work. I returned 2 (two) and left 2 (two) that was the one I left. The second broke within a month. However, this turns out to be a good spot. Now from time to time 1 (one) of the straps will fall, just put it back. So far the seat hasn't completely fallen out of the window like our old ones. I am so happy with this chair that I have ordered another one. We have 12 (twelve) cats and they love to sit by the window. We have seats by all the windows so everyone can be seated.
