I just plugged it in and entered the code and off we went. No problem. I have a Dell XPS15 (new) and don't like the idea of a keyboard that needs to be charged. It's far from quiet, so it's not the kind of keyboard I carry with me on a portable laptop. You can hear yourself typing, if it bothers you skip it. There's nothing I can't live with. When I travel I take my Apple keyboard with me (which requires 2 AA batteries). No problems at all with key issues / even if I switch languages. Overall I am very satisfied with this. WORKS WITH WINDOWS 10. :) I don't use function keys so I don't care. Much luck.
