Review on Borosilicate Glassware Presentation with Microwave Resistance by Rene Putman

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The microwave in the fridge works! The teapot is fragile, handle with care.

I can microwave tea leaves for 11 minutes. I don't have to worry about going back into the microwave right after making it, I can just leave it there and let it steep. Coming back to this, it's very easy to take out the strainer, empty the leaves and rinse it out. And yes, although the screen only has small holes at the bottom, it works. Then I can put it in the fridge right away, because I love iced tea. And I checked it and it takes 1.5 liters of water. Update 2/3/2020: I broke the infuser. It fell over because I moved the towel it was drying on and the edge with the slices in it caught on the granite slab and some of the pieces fell off. It was my fault. I still like it, wish there was an option to buy the strainer separately. I also see the price has gone up $7 since I bought it 2 months ago so I'm not buying a second one. Rating lowered from 5 to 4 due to the teapot's fragility. I still like it, still recommend it, but wish the infusion could be boosted in some way. Handle it with care.

Pros
  • STOVE AND MICROWAVE SAFE: Heat water directly in pot; This beautiful kettle can be used in the microwave as well as on gas and electric stoves, so you don't have to take out a separate pot or kettle to boil water. Instead, simply heat the water, remove from the heat source, add your favorite tea or coffee, and enjoy your freshly brewed beverage, no hassles! Glass is also safe to store in the fridge, so you can refrigerate any excess tea and enjoy a refreshing cup of iced tea later.
Cons
  • High price
