I've owned a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller since release and thanks to the long battery life I never run out of juice during a game session. Mainly because I mostly play in handheld mode, and also because I rarely play for long. After I got Splatoon 2, everything changed. Since I rarely plugged in my controller, I received low battery notifications multiple times. Then I started looking for a charging station. The only charging station I found was the Nyko Charge Block. There weren't any reviews at the time, so I was a bit reluctant to try it. This is also because I figured you'd have to charge it through the Switch Dock. I didn't know there was a power supply included. Although I have a few old phones, I was concerned that they would either give too much or too little power (thus ruining the Dual Shock 4). Anyway, I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised that an AC adapter is included. The docking station is lightweight but has two rubber strips on the bottom that prevent it from moving around too much. The controller is very easy to dock as it fits easily into the charging pins. The Micro-USB to USB-A cable is approximately 46 inches long (not including the connector). The USB-C dongle connects with such force that I don't think it will detach any time soon. The button rocks the top of the controller a bit, but not enough to make it uncomfortable or unbalanced. According to the user manual, it takes about 6 hours to fully charge the Pro Controller. I'm not sure if that's decent or slow, but it doesn't matter to me since the controller is now charging when I'm not using it. own. The one for my Dual Shock 4 is from a different brand.
