Not a balm, but a glue or paste.
This product is not considered a beard balm, is it more of a paste or glue? Too thick for cream. The label says if you need more control, use more product. That's the problem: if you use a small amount, the hair will fly apart and fall out. Using more, even in small amounts, creates clumping and matting problems. I have used this brand's beard wash and conditioner and can say that these products are slightly better than this one, but still by no means my favorite. Balm.
