Interlocking Playmat for Crawling Toddlers and Infants Review

Had to return immediately as some parts are too small, less than a cent. It's weird why they have to cut out an even smaller circle in an already small eye of the same color. See pictures. Certainly not intended for babies or toddlers who want to put things in their mouths. This makes animal cutouts unusable and unsafe for young children.

I think it's a lovely rug but it fails the curiosity test. I do not recommend 3 months + despite the brand. My 7 month old can easily pull the pieces out and put them in his mouth. This is fine until you get small tiny pieces, which are very small and pose a choking hazard. We had to remove all of the eyes so our little one wouldn't choke on one of them. The eyes also had very small eyes which we first removed when she was 5 and 6 months old. Now dull animals are eyeless

I really wanted this playmat and it's still very cute but a pain in the ass! Little animal foam pieces keep popping out of the tile and my 6 month old can pull them out with ease. Every time pressure is applied to the tile, the pieces fall out! I really want the animals to be printed on the tiles because now every time I play I have to be careful not to let any of the pieces pop out and end up in my son's mouth. Don't waste money and don't risk your child's safety!

I don't know how to rate this. The rug is SUPER fun! It's bright, the animals look amazing, and it's good quality. BUT it has so many SMALL PARTS. It is definitely not safe for children under the age of 5 or 6. Plus, these small pieces make it difficult to climb up and down, as each square breaks into 12 small pieces when picked up! Update: The seller is now emailing me asking if I change my four or five star rating to send me a replacement. Now we know why there are so many good reviews for a cheap and dangerous product! Love the thickness and design of this rug. My 8 month old son loves looking at all the animals and flowers. My only concern is that there are very small pieces that I'm afraid my son might choke on if left unattended. We love this mat. Great for a little play area for my 4 month old son. Just to give him more tummy time and leeway.
