(Mounted right) The supplied hood is an S-433 (shown left) and an upgraded S-655 (shown right), both of which offer an APF (Applied Protection Factor) of 1000. That is 100 times better than disposable medical N94 with APF 10. This device is suitable for BSL-3 (Biosafety Level) labs studying SARS-Cov-2. In addition to the 99.97% filter, TR-600 can also be equipped with various gas filters. Some say it's expensive. This build is also NIOSH certified.
