UPDATE: After some thought I decided this little guy isn't what I need to power devices connected to my TV. Now 5 stars instead of 4. I ended up going with a 6 port USB charger I bought from a sale at Sam's Club, with four 1 amp ports and two 2.1 amp ports, eh enough to power my Fire Stick, ChromeCast and Raspberry Pi, as well as my Anker Eufy Genie and two add-ons. charge other things. I leave my Huawei watch charger and a Lightning outlet plugged in so I can charge everything right under the TV in my office. As for the Anker 4-port USB hub, I keep it in my backpack for use with my Specter x360, which has a limited number of USB ports. so everything is fine with the world now. :)************************************************ **** ** ****** ******************** Not quite what I was hoping for. I wanted to free up a few outlets on my power strip that was used to power the ChromeCast, FireTV Stick, and Raspberry Pi. In theory, it should work fine as an active HDMI hub. My Pi turns on with no issues, ChromeCast turns on with no issues, but the FireTV Stick is underwhelming. I get an error message stating that the performance is insufficient. I've tried turning off the Pi and ChromeCast in case they're using all of the power provided by the hub, but even with everything turned off except the Fire TV Stick, I still get the "Insufficient USB power detected" message. Oddly enough, if you wait long enough, the FireTV Stick will log in. 2 out of 3 is good. At least I can free up a plug on my power strip by unplugging the ChromeCast and Pi from the hub and the FireTV Stick from the Revain-provided plug.
