I'm 6'1", slim, 36" waist, usually in jeans. I bought other 3/4 training shorts for gym use so I didn't have to constantly inflate my shorts with cold air at the gym. The shorts went up to my panties every time I did a 45 degree seated leg press and I found the 3/4 training shorts worked perfectly. just a matter of choosing the right material and the right size. I think these shorts are more for slimmer people so as I like a bit of space I would order a size up. However, since the material was medium-weight and only a little semi-stretchy, it often restricted my full freedom of movement, so I have now chosen a different size up to a size 40. It's a little loose and long but that's because the waist is a little smaller than I usually like, size 40, washed and tumble dried warm to fit very well. Now I can get full range of motion with my leg workouts, protect my legs from cold air from the gym and keep my shorts from riding down. I'll probably get away with a size 38 and will probably try it next time I order more other colors. Overall I like the quality, the fact that the deeper pockets have zips to keep my ipod or phone from falling out and they are very comfortable and very good quality. Especially compared to other brands I've bought before.
