This was my worst experience with any product I have ordered. This device is just rubbish. They sent me 2 of them and both of them don't work. After following all the instructions, the region codes still do not appear on the menu screen. They are meant to be displayed so you can select which region of the disc you want to play, but this DVD player only shows a general screen and nothing else. The instructions say to make sure the disc tray is empty, press the setup button, then press vol+, vol-, vol+, vol-, and then there should be region codes to choose from. The region code doesn't show up, so I can't even play my disc or any other disc! The manufacturer answered me and said that there was nothing more that could be done. If the seller sent me a replacement and it does the same and doesn't work! I recommend everyone to avoid this COBY brand, at least avoid COBY multi-region DVD players. Try a more reputable brand like Phillips or Pioneer etc. If you don't you're just wasting your money! Paying to ship a defective device is definitely not worth the hassle and expense!
