This is a beautiful basic spool with an elastic cord for threading. This will not work on very small beads, but it will work on most medium sized beads. It is good value for money, 100 meters will be long enough for our house. It has a good stretch, but I'd say it's a medium-heavy accord that can't accommodate large, heavy beads. This is an average quality elastic cord, I have used a higher quality and more durable cord but it works for most of the projects we do. In general we are satisfied with them. This is great for our kids who are just starting out in beadwork. We're giving it 4 stars because it's quite average and the quality could be a bit better.
