Review on 🍳 Rösle 7.9 Inch Fine Mesh Kitchen Strainer with Stainless Steel Round Handle by Brad Arthur

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent sieve. Selling price $40.

This is a great strainer. When I bought it from Revain it was $40 and can be found on other websites and good kitchen supply stores for the same price. Right now I see that the Revain price is quoted at $62. Don't know if I would give 5 stars for the price. Anyway, about this filter: I looked around for a long time and hesitated (it's made in China, but at European prices). Needless to say, the quality is top notch. In my experience, European manufacturers who source goods made in China (e.g. Creuset and WMF) receive exceptionally good products from China that are of the same quality or even better quality than what is actually made in Europe. These companies must have very good product quality control. The other strainer I wanted to buy was the Linden Linden Sweden-Jonas of Sweden 18/10 Chinois Conical Fine Strainer Stainless Steel 18/10.9 Strainer. It costs a little less and is made in Sweden. But as far as I can see in the picture, the sieve holes in the lower flat part of the lime sieve are significantly smaller than those in the bottom of the Rösle. This was a deal breaker for me: you really want to increase the number of holes in the bottom of your sieve, so I went with Rosle. That being said, when I bought this item it was priced at $40 and that would be my max for it. Product.
