Review on ๐ŸฆŸ Jmxu's 40W Electric Bug Zapper: Powerful Mosquito Killer for Indoor, Backyard, Patio - Effective Insect Fly Traps with Electric Shock Grid and Mosquito Light Bulb by Jamie Simpson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I use it in my garage/workshop - fewer mishaps around the house.

When the temperature is above 60 degrees or so I like to have the garage door open when I'm working in my workshop. With the onset of summer, this also means the arrival of flies, mosquitoes and other flying nuisances. Unfortunately, they get into the house in the garage. I tried holding them with compartments and then with velcro. It's a mess and when I do woodwork the paper becomes unusable after a few days. So I decided to give it a try. It hangs over the service door next to the garage door. And it works. No more insects constantly bouncing off my LED lighting or infiltrating the house. I immediately noticed the difference. The light from it is BRIGHT and a bit distracting - I would NOT want it on the table next to me if I can avoid it. Bug catchers use UVA, which can be harmful to your eyes after a long time, so you need to get it out of the way. This catcher is very, very light. It's thin aluminum with two fluorescent lights and a thin plastic tray at the bottom for collecting roasted bugs. Seriously - good drop and finish. When it arrived one of the bulbs was dead. Luckily the front of the cage slides out so the bulbs can be swapped out so tightening was easy. So far there are no complaints - dead bugs are simply removed through a plastic tray.

Pros
  • Maintenance free and easy to use
Cons
  • I'll write again later
