The evaluations I read, together with the description of the hard drive's shock resistance, reliability, and speed, convinced me to make the purchase. It's been challenging for me to weigh the benefits and drawbacks thus far. Initially, I was taken aback and unsatisfied to see that the actual storage capacity is 3.65TB rather than 4TB. It turns out to be a very powerful error, possibly published on the manufacturer's website, with the countdown starting not at 4000GB but at bytes. Second, how quickly data can be written to disk. In this case, it's possible that the amount of RAM and the laptop's "issuing" speed are also factors. It took me over a day to move 1TB of data from one external hard drive to another. It did not take too long to transfer 100 GB from my laptop to my desktop.
