I wore it all day skiing in Keystone in my teens to 20's. Even though I wear a turtleneck, I still consider gaiters to be essential skiing gear. It doesn't absorb moisture as well as we'd like. In general, any ski weather would be fine, but on the coldest days I would prefer wool blend leggings. In addition, it does not slip as much and does not absorb as much moisture. If you can't afford wool blend leggings, this will do.
