Bought two and replaced the original gearbox with 6v and added a second to get 2WD. The ride was switched to 18v Makita drill batteries. The motors work great as I only have 18 volts going to 24 volt motors. The motors didn't seem to get hot after an hour of use, which was nice. Lots of power and speed. My 3 and 4 year olds rode the toy at the same time and it handled great. I ran a bike tire around the wheels and it worked well on concrete and grass. Considering the price of these motors and the power I got from them, I would highly recommend them for converting old slow bikes.
