First of all why I gave this one star more. After 2 days, two of them made my always cloudy crab pelvis sparkle. It's not nice now. The tubing runs through the lid, so you'll have to remove the permanently attached tubing every time you clean, or try to get media through a twisted lid with a half-inch gap. The box even floats with stone filler, I now use 3 double sided suction cups on the sides and bottom. The plastic is thin, brittle and cheap. The lid does not fit properly and is difficult to hold in place. Otherwise, this is an incredibly cheap option for a box filter, and all airflow box filters are efficient.
