By the way, I was very nervous. When I received the goods, everything was loaded normally. When I started Cyberpunk 2077 I maximized the graphics and while playing I averaged around 70-80 fps with dlss enabled. The only issue I feared was how hot and noisy the setup would be. The temperature was over 90 degrees Celsius and the fans were so loud I could even hear them through my headphones. While I agree that the case for this processor is poorly ventilated and that the coolant isn't top notch, I found a solution that lowered the temperatures drastically. I went to power and sleep settings, advanced power settings, plan options for the HP recommended plan, advanced power options, and processor power management. From there I went to the minimum CPU state drag icon and adjusted it from 100% to 5%. I then went to the maximum CPU state and adjusted it from 100% to 99%. I was a little skeptical that it would have little to no effect, but it did have an effect. During the Cyberpunk iteration, I went from 90 degrees Celsius to around 65-70 degrees with the fans at a modest speed. They weren't as annoying as they used to be, and they got along well with the headphones. All in all this rig is great bang for your buck and you get an rtx 3080 which is in high demand these days. I hope HP will add more fans or have a better case for cooling in the future.
