I recently bought a Sigma 100-400mm DC DN lens for the Sony E-mount and like everyone else I immediately realized I needed a tripod ring/leg to support all that weight. While the typical price for something like this is around $50, the Sigma TC-111 is inexplicably listed for $130! There aren't many generic options out there yet, but I've found that this brand has had good reviews on other products, so I'm betting it would work well since it's more affordable. I am very pleased! It feels quite solid and was easy to assemble. Although it can't be seen in the photos, there is a small layer of silicone on the inside that provides a bit of cushioning and grip so you don't have to worry about metal to metal contact. Slightly loosening the thumbscrew allows you to optionally rotate the lens from portrait to landscape in the tripod collar, and then tighten it again for use on a tripod. The leg itself can be mounted directly to the Arca tripod mount or has holes for quick release plates. I tested it fairly and feel very comfortable that it was a good purchase.
