Out of the box I was amazed at the size of this coaster compared to the smaller coasters I've bought and ended up buying them because of poorer ones Discarded manufacturing components or plain uselessness. This stand fits both my wife's iPad Air and my Samsung Mega Phone. The grips expand to grip the iPad just as easily as my phone. The stands are also a few inches taller, which I consider an ergonomic bonus. The stand allows you to tilt up and down BUT it also allows for some lateral movement as well as portrait to landscape rotation. The base is very strong and stable.
