I took this on a trip to the seaside and was very pleased. It is compact, relatively light and holds a lot of water. My complaint, which probably can't be circumvented with a quick connect, is that you get leaks if dirt gets in. I was filtering part of the water in the creek and without my knowledge I got caught in the mechanism by very small pebbles, so I couldn't seal the quick connector completely and worse, the water was dripping from the bottom when I was trying to carry the spare water to the bearing . I wasn't able to take out the trash until I got home, but now it works like new. Just a warning to be careful when installing this and/or have a few small tools on hand to tidy it up just in case.
