This replacement faceplate fits the Xbox One X controller snugly. I can't find any seams or fit issues. This mod reduces the weight of the controller (with batteries) from 278 grams to 274 grams. If you're American and have trouble visualizing metric units, the Xbox One X controller's weight is 278 grams. 274 grams weighs the slightly lighter Xbox One X controller. Please. Weighing just the faceplates drops the weight from 40 grams to 36 grams. The orange screwdriver that came with the kit was a torx driver and would fit the screws that came with it, but not the original torx screws. Standard controller. I used a flathead screwdriver to loosen the bearing screws. The included spudger worked great. Note. I see some other reviewers reporting that the screwdriver worked for them. Your mileage may vary. Color fading doesn't match perfectly on one side of the controller. See attached pictures. It's a small point, but given that it's a third of the price of a new controller, I think it's only fair to point it out. Pros: Very nice appearance, no gaps or loose parts. Relatively easy installation; The included paddle worked great. Doesn't change the shape of the controller, so the accessory will still work with this mod. Cons: The included screwdriver didn't work, use a micro flat head. Color alignment is slightly different. Other: Slightly lighter weight, indicating either a different material or shape. , or both. It can either be more durable or less durable, I can't tell without testing it to failure.
