Many flaws with coffee, tea and espresso

Firstly, due to the weight and volume adding coffee grounds, you don't get 2 liters of coffee. I make coffee on the weekends so I don't have to bother with it on weekdays when I'm busy getting ready for work. I thought 2 liters would give me 4 servings (I drink at least 2 cups of black coffee in the morning) but that only gives me about 3 servings. by eye how much water you're pouring (unless you measure the water in advance, which is an extra tedious step that I don't need or don't need). The instructions say you fill up to 3/4 of a bottle with water (before the coffee), but that depends on how much coffee you have in the filter, because once the coffee grounds have absorbed the water, the total volume naturally increases. So you have more or less water than you want and you have to adjust it accordingly, which means you have to unscrew, unscrew, pull out or tilt the filter to get water in. An annoying extra step. You can draw a line on the bottle with a marker, but that doesn't matter. The brewing system should be where you put the coffee first and then pour the water into the coffee without fiddling with the lid etc, not the other way around. Third, the spout fails every time. It's badly designed. When you pour coffee it ALWAYS drips out of the spout making a mess not to mention wasting my expensive coffee. Fourth, they claim that it's top shelf dishwasher safe. Think about it. In which dishwasher lid does this long jug fit vertically? If you put it horizontally, will the inside of the bottle be cleaned? Of course not. What a stupid statement. Finally, the overall jug feels brittle and slightly sticky (I don't know how to describe it). It certainly does NOT look like a BPA-free material (compared to other quality bottles from Nalgene). no V. No matter how impressed. Definitely not worth the $. I do not recommend.
