Bought two sizes as the sweater is compulsory at school. Size 4-5 was best for my 42lb 6 year old with little room to grow, but size 6 dangled from his toes and despite being the same material, it felt terrible in comparison. Felt like spiky wool or alpaca lol. The smaller size was a little softer but not as pretty as my daughter's. It would be better if they only made v-neck boys out of the same material so the kids don't have to wear shabby uncomfortable clothes all day. After all, they are children. I returned one and did NOT recommend it to other moms at our school. Next time I'll buy somewhere else. On the plus side, it looks nice.
