We love them so much we're five this week bought. I put the first one in the kitchen, behind the pantry door. It was closed perfectly on the hooks provided. It wasn't on any other door that we wanted to use it on. We tried several. So other reviewers are right when they say that hooks don't work; They only work if you have enough clearance between the top of the door and the door frame. Also worth noting: if you use the hooks above the door, you won't be able to reach one or two of the top compartments! This part of the product is really exceptionally poorly designed. ADVANTAGES: - Easy assembly. You insert a large, sturdy base into each compartment, and then insert pieces of sturdy cardboard into the sides of each compartment. - Once assembled, a stable storage solution for small items. CONS: Hooks are too thick for most doors. The hooks make it too tall to use a top shelf or two. RECOMMENDATION: Buy separate hooks and attach them to the inside of the door.
