This bookcase looks very nice and is easy to assemble

This bookcase looks very nice and is easy to assemble. I wanted real wood, not composition, which was an important factor since composition shelves can eventually sag under the weight of a row of books. This block appears to be made from durable and lightweight bamboo wood. The finish is pleasant and matches, albeit a little darker, the oak floor and built-in bookshelves in our office. The shelves have a butcher block design, while the thinner frame doesn't appear to be. This would probably be a natural result of the bamboo's shape. Because of the color and thin fiber of the bamboo, the design of the meat block shelves is almost imperceptible unless you look for it. The disadvantages of a dome are that the bottoms of the shelves are partially drilled out, as if the holes were for dowels. Perhaps these shelves are also part of another unit in the production line. However, since these partial holes are located at the bottom of the shelves, they are not visible. The real concern and the reason I gave it 3 stars is that the shelves are not evenly spaced making two shelves unsuitable for books. The distance between the top of the unit and the first shelf is approximately 6 inches, and the distance between the third and fourth shelves is approximately 7.5 inches. Neither has enough space to put books, which is my application. So instead of top, bottom and 5 bookshelves, there is a bottom, bottom and 3 bookshelves. I thought I might have put it together wrong, but a quick check showed it was a design flaw. I had to decide on the Ikea real wood bookcase I was considering.
