That's exactly what I wanted! It really is the best thing I've bought in a long time. Two of these bulbs are equivalent to 10 standard Philips bulbs. I was so tired of the dim light in my room. And I thought about buying more lamps, but then I thought why not just buy brighter lamps. To be honest, anyone thinking about it should buy it and see for themselves. It really did the trick for me! I will buy more. The only thing you really need to pay attention to is how big those onions are. They fit perfectly with most fittings, but may bulge a bit. But honestly I don't care!
