Review on ๐Ÿ•๏ธ Igloo 72 Qt BMX Cooler: Rugged and Reliable Cooling Solution for Outdoor Adventures by James Salem

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good price poor quality

This cooler is fantastic for the price. A 72 Qts cooler fully stocked will last 3-4 days in 80 degree heat with only 10 pounds of ice, not bad for only $140. The only problem (and a big one) are the screws for the hinges. As others have said they are not big enough and only stick to very thin plastic. The two screws on the right went out so quickly it could have been after our first hike. We've used it a few times since, and while it certainly still keeps everything nice and cool, it's so annoying to have to constantly move the lid and be very delicate to keep it from breaking again. I contacted Igloo directly about this. problem, and they are well aware of it. Their response was that the BMX cooler and all parts are out of stock and there is currently no return date. No medication, nothing. Basically yes, it is not available. Customer service 1/10 just for the answer. Needless to say, this is very unfortunate. The large cooler market is so competitive that coolers cost hundreds of dollars; This model could really make an impact. I'm not sure if the poor workmanship here makes up for the lower price. Maybe it's worth spending a little more money for higher quality. I hope Igloo will fix it and bring this cooler back. It's a shame to spend $500 on a good cooler.
