Better than most of the best in Camp Kitchen

I bought this cooler because I originally wanted an expensive rotomolded cooler, but I was put off by its weight (look at it or pick one up, they are heavy even when empty ). All of our previous coolers were cheap Walmart coolers and I was willing to spend more for an upgrade that would last. I'm glad I chose this cooler. It is lighter than a rotary cooler but holds ice very well. Probably not as good as a rotary cooler but for a 3 day trek it performed a lot better than our cheap coolers andโ€ฆ

  • Very expensive

Good price poor quality

This cooler is fantastic for the price. A 72 Qts cooler fully stocked will last 3-4 days in 80 degree heat with only 10 pounds of ice, not bad for only $140. The only problem (and a big one) are the screws for the hinges. As others have said they are not big enough and only stick to very thin plastic. The two screws on the right went out so quickly it could have been after our first hike. We've used it a few times since, and while it certainly still keeps everything nice and cool, it's soโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Good but not great

Bought as a return from stock. I am very happy with it. it looks cool If you keep it in the shade and refrigerate it properly before putting ice on it, and then keep it in the shade when you arrive at your destination, it will last three days ice and then some more. THAT SAID: I usually fill and freeze empty 2 liter soda bottles with water and place them on the bottom of my coolers before heading to camp. They appear to be a little more durable than regular Igloo coolers, but don't expect Yetiโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Brings joy
Cons
  • Discontinued model
