Review on πŸ•οΈ Igloo 72 Qt BMX Cooler: Rugged and Reliable Cooling Solution for Outdoor Adventures by Will Murphy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Better than most of the best in Camp Kitchen

I bought this cooler because I originally wanted an expensive rotomolded cooler, but I was put off by its weight (look at it or pick one up, they are heavy even when empty ). All of our previous coolers were cheap Walmart coolers and I was willing to spend more for an upgrade that would last. I'm glad I chose this cooler. It is lighter than a rotary cooler but holds ice very well. Probably not as good as a rotary cooler but for a 3 day trek it performed a lot better than our cheap coolers and based on its construction I can say it will last for many years to come. If I didn't have to move the cooler after loading I'd probably go for the rotomolded one, but we camp and the cooler gets moved a few times and I can move this 72 liter cooler even fully loaded (barely). Wheels would be nice but I don't like the capacity you lose if you have wheels so this cooler is perfect. In fact, I was so impressed that I just took a 25 liter BMX with me for day trips. Haven't used it yet but it's just as durable and I expect the same performance from it.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Very expensive
