Paid 240 CAD to get it in Canada. I am disappointed in this device. I set the temperature to 78F. Room temperature 72F. It works 1-2 minutes, then turn off the heating mode. Never again. Someone help me figure this out. I just received yesterday October 2nd, 2021. Before the cold sets in, I want to find out. You can buy a cheap heater but I figured infrared light doesn't burn the skin. Update: Revain sent a replacement. That's what I want in this device for version 2.1. Sliders should be two-axis, like in a car. Right now all the hot air is going from bottom to top. So if you sit next to you, you won't feel the hot air. I like hot air on my feet since I work on my computer.2. You need a separate display from the thermostat to show the current room temperature. This is how we know whether the thermostat is defective or not. 3. Favor two thermostats so that one fails and the other takes care of it. You can also turn off the thermostat (if it is broken). possibility of replacement. Better than sending the unit back because of a broken thermostat.4. Alex turned on the controls. I'm just fumbling with the remote control. I would say Alex turned on night mode. Set the temperature to 72F.5. Also, it should not burn the skin like a ceramic heater does. Also, if the temp drops, set Temp 72 to 3 degrees, it will turn on again. This offset needs to be adjusted so some people may want to save power. Some may allow a 5 degree offset to save more power.
