I started with the EM10-MK iii and really liked it, but was very happy with all the great features of the big brother EM5 MKiii. In particular, weather protection, high-resolution recordings, improved autofocus. Everything in the package is slightly larger than the EM10. The only thing that bothered me was their decision to use a plastic case instead of a metal case, but in the end I thought they must have known what they were doing. I ordered one fairly early on and within 6 months of very infrequent use noticed the tripod mount area had cracks. And it got worse. Up to the point where the floor panel separated from the rest of the body. It's pointless to put on a trip capsule and spank. Even before it breaks, the frame is so flimsy that the camera will flex with any of the professional metal lenses, and the 12-100 F4 pro is my everyday lens. I sent it back to them for warranty and they told me at first it wasn't. covered, I could complain and cover it up. But it should still be covered under warranty, no questions asked, no reason to fight it. I've had my body repaired for about 4 months with very light use and have already noticed another hairline crack! And this time I've been very careful not to over tighten and even bought a larger L-Bracket to hopefully distribute the force to the bottom plate. So this is incredibly disappointing. One of the things I loved about the Olympus was how strong and durable the cases were. My EM10 is a tank and has endured so much abuse and is still 100% operational, although not technically weatherproof. Right now I just want my money back so I can switch to another brand if they don't offer a design improvement or metal base plate replacement. It's just not usable. Unfortunately the feature set is exactly what I want, they just had to put it in such a horribly underdeveloped cheap plastic case instead of spending an extra $20 to make a slab out of metal.
