I knocked off one star because they are a little tall as others have mentioned. I am 5'4" but don't usually have problems with socks being too long in the calf - I have to fold these over a little more than an inch. If you don't pull them up well, I found they cut in at the ankles or wherever else the slack was. I still like them a lot though. They feel great, seem to be holding up well and aren't too hard to get on if I use the method they recommend (video on Vitalsox website). I use them while I run and they keep my feet and ankles from swelling (chronic problem). They pilled a little on the foot, but that may have been caused by my shoes. Hasn't affected anything other than looks. For sizing reference, I wear shoe size 9 and have 15" calves; the small size works perfect.
