We bought these for our youngest son who was wearing a 4 at the time so there should have been room in a 5. The shoes are really good and he was only able to wear them for a very short time - they were too narrow, much narrower than the size 5 we were given to replace. They are a bit small/tight for the fit. They are really good quality. The processing of the shoe is perfect, so no complaints. Overall, I find that our New Balance shoes have slightly better arch support, which I really like. Knowing they're a little tight I'll order the larger ones and let the kids grow up in them.
