Update: BROKEN in less than a month!

UPDATE: After about 1-2 weeks of use the tape broke. As you can see from my original review, I was impressed with the build quality of the strap. However, I lifted the laptop bag and saw that the metal hook that attached to the strap's metal loop was broken and severed. On closer inspection, this is due to a tiny broken metal ring that is the only thing holding the rotating hook to the metal base. This is very bad design! Essentially, the round pin on the underside of the hook looks like a dumbbell, with most of it going into the round hole in the metal loop and sitting loosely there. The only thing holding it in place is a thin, round, disc-shaped washer that fits over the center of the pin to keep it from slipping out of the hole. This round disc is either broken or has slipped and is nowhere to be found. Having looked at other shoulder straps I have around the house, they are made so that the pins are completely surrounded by a metal loop and the hole is smaller than the larger end of the "dumbbell" pin. So they can't come loose unless the pin itself breaks. So basically it's not a good idea to put the entire weight of the bag on a tiny, thin semi-circular washer. Obviously, this is where my problems arose with the fact that it didn't rotate. I would look elsewhere for a strap unless it is something very light. It looks like others are having the same issues! First review below: I use this strap on my laptop bag to replace a broken one. I'm carrying a very heavy 17" Macbook Pro in it, so I needed a strap that could carry that weight. I am pleased to report that this strap is very well made and the metal hooks at each end are very strong and sturdy. I see no problem with them bending or breaking anytime soon! previous strap. Although I'm using my seconds quickly. Ha! Obviously it's my laziness problem, but that's just my little problem. It was easy for me to twist my old strap to get it straight when carrying the bag on my shoulder. At the same time, he needs to leave some leeway to turn easily. A very minor issue compared to the fact that it's very durable and I don't have to worry about breaking it myself! I would recommend it!
