There are now pull out BRACKETS which are a safety hazard! :(

I have bought this scratching post many times over the years as it has been my cats favorite. Unfortunately the quality of this current version has dropped badly and I just can't no can it no longer recommend i strongly advise against buying it as there are safety risks important point there are now clips that hold the sisal and fabric inside the board which poses a hazard thought maybe it was all ok but my cat just pulled one of them while using the scratching post If your cat likes to chew/eat random small objects like mine, be aware that they are small enough to swallow and sharp enough to damage the internal organs of the clamps, so maybe , you will bring it again in the future, however, the current version has additional defects, the scraper is smaller than now before. Not that big of a problem, but something to consider. The fabric and sisal are not glued and fit very well on the inside of the circuit board, as they are only attached with clips at the edges. I'm not sure if the old version was glued to the inside of the panel, but there is a noticeable difference in how the materials flex and tear when used with the new version. There are good sides too - my cat loves to fool around. this scraper and he used to like using it because he can slide under it or play on it. But I won't be buying it again and I had to pick it up and I recommend you avoid it if you think loose braces would be unsafe for your cat. I can't believe this passed the quality check!
