Good RAID Enclosure with some drawbacks

First let me confirm that the excessive noise reported by other customers is REAL. The original 80mm fan with RGB LEDs (model QSCD 8025S) is VERY loud. So I did myself a long-term favor and replaced it with a premium Noctua NF-A8 ULN fan: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00NEMGCRQ/Tag und Nacht! The noise is gone. I've also left out the original fan's fancy RGB lighting, but the position of my case isn't visible, and what a difference! To access the fan it is easy to remove the back cover (7 screws) (see photo). Noctua has a standard 3 pin connector with yellow, red and black wires. Make sure the black wire is connected to the bottom pin on the circuit board (see second photo). The yellow wire does not work. If left disabled, the fan runs at full speed. The original fan is 1500 rpm, the Noctua 1400, so there are no particular problems. You could even try making it even quieter with a low-noise port that drops it to 1100rpm, but that's no attempt. Make sure the air flows from the inside out as the fan needs to be pushed against the cover (check the 1st photo again otherwise the USB cable and power cord are really too short forcing you to either longer to buy or keep a stand nearby with your computer I think the seller could shell out a few bucks I'm using it in a RAID 5 configuration with 5 x 4TB enterprise grade HGST hard drives for a total of 15 To get TB of fast and safe storage that can still work in If 1 hard drive hard drive fails, be sure to buy a 6th hard drive of the same type as a spare.
