Good bag. will fly again The dog didn't seem to mind.

Qualifier- The only reason I bought this bag was to transport my dog as hand luggage in the cabin of the plane. I will not use it as a regular drawer for daily or frequent use. The foldable, padded sides are perfect for the tight spaces they were designed for. Nice bag, I bought a large one for my 15.8 lb dog. It has a soft, shaggy faux sheepskin base that is mounted on a 1/8" or 3/16" hardboard, giving your pet a hard base. I've used it on three flights, it seems to be holding up well. The zipper fits well, closes tightly. A small flat pocket on the side for treats, poop bags and I have some paper towels folded flat in case of a leak (from my dog). It fits nicely under any Boeing 737-400 seat. The first two photos were taken on a new Southwest Boeing 737-800 in a 3 aisle configuration and 3, I'm sitting in the window seat. My 10 year old daughter wanted our 15.8 pound long haired dachshund in front of us. her, but he started twirling around a bit mid-flight, so I slid the bag under the seat in front of me, which is by the window. The center seat has the most legroom, with a little more width between the seat's legs. The window seat has the smallest space due to the curvature of the fuselage, which digs into the floor space. I also flew an older Air Canada Airbus A319 (photo 3 and photo 7) and then it was an aisle seat, no problem either. I wear size 9 shoes 145lb 5ft 8in so not that big, your mileage as they say can vary especially if you have a tall man next to you. I find that an aisle seat also offers better ventilation. / air circulation. Foot traffic can at least entertain your pet. Photo 4 shows the top zippers opening and allowing your pet to look around. If not too rabid, this allows the head to look around and keep most of the body there. I took photos 5 and 6 to show that carrying around a 22 pound dog bag (the bag itself weighs about 4.7 pounds) plus all your belongings on long airport flights gets tiring quickly and I've had some success. to install it on my Rollie.
