My lips have been getting very dry and chapped lately and drinking more water and using lip balm hasn't helped. So I thought maybe a lip scrub could help get rid of most dry, chapped lips. This is the second lip scrub I've tried. The first consisted of two balms, one of which I believe had a chemical/acid peeling element. I didn't like it and wasn't expecting something called "Scrub". So I decided to try this one. It contains real sugar granules, so it's abrasive and very scratchy, but also very dirty. I've seen others that seem to stick together more like a grainy paste, but not enough to stick together. You can literally take a pinch of regular granulated sugar from the kitchen and get essentially the same effect. It wasn't enough to bind the pellets so they just fell apart all over the place making it very messy to use. I think the taste is ok, but I don't really want to try it, licking lips makes chapped dry lips worse. If you manage to get enough product on your lips without smearing and then brush your lips with it, then the product is really removing the dead skin.
