The only gasket that worked for my application was a riveted gasket, very specialized. Once the gasket material got wet, it basically dissolved and flew out from under the thermostat housing under pressure. A serious mistake, as a result of which the hold quickly filled with water without my knowledge. Try to find an OEM Mercruiser kit
- Fits 1987 to present GM engines with standard cooling requiring a 160 degree thermostat.
