I've been waiting for this addition to my drawing and coloring pencil collection. They have some nice features (that's why I'm not sending them back), but also enough flaws (that I won't buy this brand again (Positive Art)). You get a plus for: + Packaging - 3 tiers fit very well in a quality metal box that closes tightly + A wide range of colors! Better than many! Some of these colors are quite unique. I'm glad I already have them + The whole set was 98% color so there is very little brown/black/grey which made me very happy. Too many ink pen sets come with 5 shades of black or gray and I just don't use them to create colorful images. Cons: - The tips scratch the paper and don't flow smoothly. So I can only use them for small details in the picture. I've tried using some of these as journal writing tools, but the ink smudges easily and ruins the page if you're not careful. And the color not only penetrates to the other side of the paper, but also through 3 or 4 pages of high-quality paper. Some pens don't have much ink. I could say that some of them will run out quickly. There are no markings on the barrel other than the brand name, and even it is tiny and difficult to spot. Other brands also don't list the color name on the kegs, but some put at least a 4-digit color code or indicate if they're neon colors. To solve the missing marks problem, I folded the white 8 1/. 2 sheets of 11 x 11 card stock folded in half to give a color chart, with light colors on one side and dark colors on the other. For each pen: by color: green, then blue and purple - scrawled on one side a pattern of each color from light to dark, numbered (e.g. G1 - 12 for green). Using a label printer, Dymo made labels for each pen. Sounds like a lot of work but it only took a few hours and now I have a color chart that makes using these 60 pens so much easier!
