Not too heavy - stays in place and doesn't pull fine hairs

They're heavy, so I think they're actually metal! The "teeth" don't pull or tear my finely textured hair, which I was afraid of. I usually twist my long hair into a bun and secure it with these bobby pins. Although they are heavier than plastic, they are not so heavy that they tend to slide off or fall out when you fix your hair. I like three different metallic tones so I can match the clip to what I'm wearing.
