Review on ๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ HP DeskJet 3755 All-in-One Wireless Printer with HP Instant Ink - Seagrass Accent (J9V92A): Compact and Alexa Compatible by Robert Hunter

Poor quality, endlessly disappointing setup

I thought it would be great. It was cute, compact enough to fit in my tiny house, and offered to do whatever I needed. The first thing I bought was a lemon (the cartridge holder didn't move to an accessible spot when I opened the door). I sent it back to have it replaced. I should have known then to find anything else. I wasted more paper and ink (an entire black cartridge) trying to troubleshoot, set up and/or calibrate this printer than I could actually use to print what I needed. To press. Every time the printer turns off, I have to reconnect it to the network. Sometimes (like today) it takes a lot of fiddling to get the software to work. At this stage of technology development, there is no need to reconfigure the printer just because it has been turned off. The network is the same, my laptop is the same. That's absurd. Print quality is poor at best. It is striped, sometimes spotted. Calibration is so tedious and time-consuming that it is completely impractical. (Print a page of lines - about a dozen or more different groups of them - answer questions about each group, print another page, repeat ad nauseum until you decide to use someone else's printer somewhere else.) I have printed more pages at my local FedEx store than my own printer which I have owned for a year now. Scanning is a very manual process. I knew this would happen, but the printer does very little to feed the paper into the scanner. I usually ended up with large blank areas at the top of my document as the scanner wheel was spinning but not picking up my document. It also breaks down very easily. I'm going to throw out this pile of junk and try to find something else that works and fits on my tiny shelf. I do not recommend this printer to anyone.

Pros
  • Seven segment plus LCD; HP Scroll Scan to easily handle most scan jobs from plain paper to hard media
Cons
  • No Instructions
