Strength against background character was good. With balloons, however, I started inflating half as much as they should have been and they popped. I blew some in half, tied them together, placed them on the part of the bow that wasn't included, sat there for 10 minutes and popped. Some of the balls in the package were already punctured. The only thing I used is the background.
