Description of Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 245/45 R17 99Y summer

Superior Performance for Summer Driving

The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 summer tire is a top choice for the most dynamic versions of passenger cars across different classes. This impressive tire replaces the popular Asymmetric 3 model and outperforms it in all key aspects while embodying the exceptional qualities synonymous with the renowned Eagle tire range. It offers an unmatched driving experience, especially during the summer months.

Enhanced Braking Efficiency

One of the standout features of the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 is its remarkable braking performance. Compared to similar models from other brands, this tire boasts a significantly shorter stopping distance. This achievement is primarily attributed to the utilization of the latest Active Braking technology. By optimizing the tread pattern, block shape, and size, the tire delivers improved braking efficiency. Additionally, the larger contact patch during acceleration ensures enhanced grip, minimizing braking distances and preventing slippage.

Innovative Breaker Design

Goodyear has incorporated cutting-edge technology into the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 with the addition of an extra Power Cushion cord in the breaker. This unique cord, constructed from aramid, a polymer material composed of tightly woven fibers, combines exceptional strength with an incredibly low weight. This innovation further enhances the tire's overall performance and durability, providing drivers with a reliable and long-lasting solution.

Unmatched Versatility for Performance Cars

The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 245/45 R17 99Y summer tire caters to the needs of performance car enthusiasts. Whether you're tackling winding roads or enjoying a day at the track, this tire offers exceptional grip, stability, and responsiveness. With its superior performance and advanced technology, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 ensures an exhilarating driving experience for those seeking the ultimate in performance and control.

Applications:

  • Track days and racing events
  • High-performance sports cars
  • Car enthusiast gatherings
  • Summer road trips
  • Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 summer tire is installed on the most dynamic versions of passenger cars of various classes. Replaced the Asymmetric 3 model. According to the manufacturer, it significantly surpasses its predecessor in all main characteristics, while demonstrating branded ones; traits of eagle tires; rulers. Braking Efficiency One of the tire''s key advantages is its shorter stopping distance compared to most similar models from other brands. This is largely due to the use of the latest version of Active Braking technology. By changing the tread pattern and with it the shape and size of the blocks, it has become even more efficient. By increasing the size of the contact patch during longitudinal acceleration, the grip becomes more stable, reducing the length of the braking distance and preventing slippage during acceleration. Additional cord in the breaker Another technological innovation is the addition of an additional Power Cushion cord in the breaker. It is made from aramid. The polymer material in the form of densely woven fibers has a steel; strength at extremely low weight. This component is located directly under the running part of the tread, providing it with additional resistance to deformation. As a result, the accuracy in control, directional stability is increased, and the feedback is more transparent, especially when driving at high speed. Optimized tread patternPerhaps the only similarity to the previous model is the tread pattern, which was borrowed with a slight change; almost completely. It is still distinguished by its massiveness and asymmetric arrangement of elements. The central part contains two wide ribs that guarantee directional stability, accuracy and quick reactions when maneuvering. Massive blocks on the inside prevent slippage during acceleration. Extra-wide outer lugs provide confident maneuvering behavior while preventing uneven tread wear. Key features of the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 - shortened braking distance thanks to the latest version of Active Braking technology; - an additional cord of aramid fibers in the breaker improves steering precision and directional stability; - an asymmetric tread pattern with massive elements ensures reliable grip in all conditions. SoundComfort Technology SoundComfort technology provides quieter and more comfortable driving by reducing the noise level inside the car by 50%/ RunOnFlat Our revolutionary RunOnFlat technology allows you to drive some distance at speeds up to 80 km/h even with a flat tire. This saves you the hassle of changing your tire immediately on the side of the road and reduces the risk of blowing a tire on the motorway. Disc protection Built-in protection prevents damage to discs when they come into contact with the curb. Road Tires Designed for off-road vehicles for road travel at speeds up to 270 km/h.

Exactly as promised by the manufacturer, high quality.

Auto: opel insignia 4x4, weight 1901kg, 249hp Rubber size range 245/45 - R18. I've been using for a month now. Drove no more than 4 thousand km. Rubber - "fire! ". Its pros: Rubber holds the car perfectly and provokes a fast ride. At a speed of 200 km / h - you can hear the wind, but not rubber. Cons: At a speed of 130 km / h in the rain, you need to drive carefully and slow down in lowlands and puddles. In a rut, the rubber also holds the road well and does not “throw out” to the side when…

Before buying, I studied a lot of reviews on wide and low-profile tires, this one is always in the top in all reviews and tests. I do not think that it is somehow worse than the new asymmetric 6, but it is cheaper, which decided my choice. Pros below: Good tires from a well-known manufacturer for sane (at present) money. Soft, not noisy and excellent road holding. Made in Poland. Delivery by courier is fast, each wheel was delivered packed in a bag. Has some cons: The wheels were produced a…

    Revainrating 1 out of 5

The product sucks and the quality is terrible.

Incomprehensibly muddy wheels. In the reviews, Polish-made wheels are everywhere, they have a different pattern, anti-noise tubercles in the longitudinal grooves and disc protection. It's the same for all sites. I bought wheels on best-tyres. Ru. German production. The drawing is completely different (photo attached). There is nothing in the grooves, there is no disc protection. Leftist? Doesn't look like the build quality is up to par. Yes, and best-tires, it seems, have not been noticed. Low…

    Cons
    • Not what is in the picture. In fact, a class below.

I rolled 70 km on this rubber until I broke it with a slip on a gravel road. The fire just holds the road, the car enters into turns like a glove, there are no hints of demolition at all. Every season I changed tires front / rear, so the wear is about the same. Absolutely not suitable for driving off asphalt, especially in mud, slides like ice, on gravel road you should drive carefully without slipping, flew into the pits a couple of times, bent the disc but not a hint of a side cut or "bump"…

    Pros
    • Durability, 4 seasons with a bang, with proper storage and when changing the front / rear seasonally, handling, top speed.
    Cons
    • Soft, you should not bring the wheels to slip, especially outside the asphalt, I tore one slope like that, the price is high BUT! level quality.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quality is top notch, happy with everything.

If you want quiet - not your option. You don’t need maximum controllability on the pavement in any weather, more important is silence, comfort, maybe traction with the ground is also not your option. Choosing between Asymmetric 5, Viking Contact 6 and Pilot Sport 4 - that's a great choice then, only the price tag has risen 1.5 times in a year. I use it on a non-permanent full (Haldex 5) drive, ~ 240 forces.

    Pros
    • The most luxurious taxiing on dry land and in the rain. Changed with Pilot Sport 4 - so there is something to compare with. Goodyear behaves nicer, and that's a fact. I can say the same about braking! Especially felt on wet surfaces. Good wear resistance, strong sidewall.
    Cons
    • The noise is just HELL. After the transition from winter to summer (with Michelin X-Ice Snow) I was shocked, because I forgot that theoretically there could be SUCH a difference. In fact, this is a retribution for the use of tough and durable UHP rubber, which does not negate the fact that the same Michelin was quieter, and significantly. The most annoying thing is that the main noise is somewhere around 70-130 km / h, i. E. main application.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

The right product for me, there were no problems.

245/45 18 on the bmw 530 gt the stability is excellent, in terms of hydroplaning, after 140 in long turns it began to be slightly demolished, initially it seemed noisy, after 3000 this feeling went away.

    Pros
    • Stability, hydroplaning, soft
    Cons
    • Slightly noisy

The W 204 was equipped with Continental ContiSport 5, not to say that there were serious complaints about it, but when it came time to change them, I wanted to put something else. I bribed the test results, according to which the Goodyear Eagle F1 has been winning in my size for 2 years already (I looked at 225/45 R 17 as these are on the front axle and they are more common). It would not be correct to compare a five-year-old Continental with a mileage of more than 60,000 with new ones, but…

I don't want to spend my money on this item.

My tires are from January 2022. Where does the company's quality department look? What should I do with this set? How can Litvin burn it in front of the company's headquarters? I would like to hear the answer of the representatives of the company. Has pros: The brand on the wheel cord looks great. The grip, the grip are excellent. Holds up well in the rain too. Cons below: UHP class rubber - you expect from it the appropriate performance parameters and quality. But . having paid a hell of a lot

The product is the most common, it could be worse.

Bought 2 years ago for Audi A4 235/45/17. Before that, there were Pirellis, so even bald ones in wet weather slowed down better than Goodyear. In a rut, you have to hold the steering wheel with both hands. Noisy after 80kmch, pirelli and ekogama were quieter. The hernias are strong, but for the second season I got tired of balancing them, every 2 weeks, then vibration appears again after 100 km / h, they said the rubber began to jump on the tavern, apparently the cord was falling apart, the…

    Pros
    • soft on bumps, quite strong on breakdown.
    Cons
    • Noisy, brakes badly in wet weather, jumps in a rut, sluggish for active driving, there is no disc edge protection as such.

Best I have ever used, great product for anyone!

If not the best UHP tire, then definitely on par with the Pilot Sport 4. I chose it according to the tyrereviews rating. My 410 hp on the stock continents constantly turned on the stabilization system at the starts from a traffic light, which caused the acceleration dynamics to suffer. Here the hook is instant. I recommend. With its pros: The holder is just top-notch, both wet and dry. Braking top, taxiing top. Gorgeous tyres. Cons below: There is nothing to complain about, no particular noise…

Best thing I have ever used, highly recommended!

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 tires I bought last spring. Drove them 15,000 kilometers over the summer and autumn. The tires for the city are ideal, there is little noise, the grip is excellent, you can turn at least 90 degrees into turns, it will withstand everything. Appreciated run flat. I caught a screw 20 kilometers from the nearest tavern. The rubber held up. I advise you to try, excellent rubber for your money.

    Pros
    • The price is justified by the quality.
    Cons
    • No.

Best I have ever used, great product for anyone!

Tires are the best. Road holding is perfect. Speed 140-200 on the highway with good balancing, I don’t feel that I’m driving on asphalt. In turn, they swim a little, but do not blow away. Noise minimum. The wheel is not felt. Soft. Before that, there were asymmetric 2 German ones. Even almost bald ones kept the road. These came from Poland. Highly recommend. Don't waste your money on the Michelin - it's 2022

    Pros
    • Better not

    A valuable purchase, some advantages!

So: 200hp FWD, size 215/45 R17. Tire weight 8.7 kg is a very good indicator, made in Germany. I bought them in April 2022 for ~ 5 for the tire. Now, in June 2022, it’s already 8.5 it’s stability like this. From the subjective sensations when driving: before the ABS was activated, it was not possible to slow down either on dry or wet asphalt. On wet pavement, the grip is simply not real, better than PS4 (this is also confirmed by the tests of the British). Handling is clear and predictable, of…

    Pros
    • Definitely high quality and worthy tires worth the money. Road grip on dry and wet pavement is at a height and clearly not worse than famous brands and their models PS4, ContiSport. In European tests, this tire is confidently in the top 3 for the 3rd year in a row.
    Cons
    • At first there was noise, which almost completely disappeared after a small amount of time and kilometers.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best price for such a product, I will buy more!

I love speed, so traction and precise control of the car are a priority for me. The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 copes with these tasks: the car does not skid when braking, the road is kept well. At the same time, they are not noisy (although the concept of noise is different for everyone). More recently, I hit a curb with a wheel, but the disk did not hurt. So the impressions of the model are positive.

    Pros
    • Wear resistance, good handling in bad weather, efficient braking, disc protection.
    Cons
    • -

I compare with the standard ContiSportContact 5. Goodyear is softer, more comfortable and a bit quieter. In a rut does not talk, do not have to cling to the steering wheel. Joints and bumps go smoothly. If to describe in one word, then rather "comfort" than "sport". Although everything is ok with sports too - it keeps perfectly. In the dry, in the wet . it steers confidently. In general, the tire is very balanced. I think the best in terms of price-quality-characteristics. Well, just beautiful,

    Pros
    • road grip Acoustic comfort Looks good (subjectively)
    Cons
    • may seem sluggish to some

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

I didnt expect the quality to be so high.

The rubber immediately after the purchase seemed to me a bad purchase, as it was very noisy, but after my complaints - the consultant explained that this is normal until you break in the rubber - he turned out to be right. After 250 kilometers, the sound abruptly disappeared. I can only praise the rubber itself - the handling is excellent and at the same time quite soft

    Pros
    • tenacious, soft, excellent in turns, adequate price
    Cons
    • make noise until you roll

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good product, more pros than cons.

Mixed impression. Rubber, soft and quiet. Starts, brakes well. Doesn't float on water. But ! When maneuvering and changing lanes, even on a dry road, there is a jelly effect, both transverse and longitudinal buildup. For owners of crossovers with soft suspension, this is most likely not noticeable. But the yeti's suspension is firm, lightweight, and body roll is minimal. I went to check the suspension, the collapse - everything is fine. I had to increase the pressure to 2.5, it got better but…

    Pros
    • I put it on yeti 1.8 4x4 225/55 17. I took a square of old memory - I used to ride needles 235/50 18 on Ford and was very pleased.
    Cons
    • There is a flaw, but I still do not understand its source

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

A really necessary purchase, Im glad I found this product.

Good quality tire for the money. Without unnecessary show-off and claims to elitism. A sort of thoroughbred strong workhorse, not an Arabian horse, but very suitable for the conditions of the central zone of the 2022. Different pros: Absolute insensitivity to ruts on asphalt. After the previous Pirelli, which walked along the spring ruts left by studded tires on loose asphalt, this is just some kind of holiday. It brakes well and is controlled on wet asphalt. Good behavior on rough roads…

The right product for me, there were no problems.

After the winter, I changed my shoes to summer wheels with these tires and was stunned by how comfortable the tires are. It feels like in the winter 17th the car behaved harder with a large profile

    • Excellent handling Quiet Comfortable
