Melted under the fire pit
We bought this rug to put under a small fire pit on our patio. When we first used it we smelled burning plastic but couldn't figure out what it was as we thought someone had thrown a small piece of plastic wrap into the fire. The next day while moving the fire pit and rug, I folded up the rug and noticed a few small holes that lined up with the legs of our fire. So it wasn't ash or smoldering coals that melted the carpet, just the heat from the legs of the fire. Not very good for the intended purpose. I would not recommend it.
